1911 Society Holster Guidelines

We have tried to stay away from listing the holsters that are acceptable for use at the "1911 Single Stack Match". The best definition would be: A holster and mag pouch or pouches suitable for all day carry by an ordinary person, worn behind the centerline of the body; not a uniformed police officer, in performing his/her daily tasks. This would be a holster of the concealable type.

Specifically not the following: Holsters designed solely for competition. Breakfront, dropped loop type of holsters, unless used by a full time police officer on a duty belt, with all other equipment holders (radio pouch, cuff case, etc.) in place.

If in doubt, check the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) list of acceptable holsters. Use this only as a guide.
